Kids can do random acts of kindness too!

 
 

Send your kids to school and challenge them to do random acts of kindness for a day. See how much satisfaction they derive from knowing they did something for others. They’ll quickly learn that everyone benefits when students, schools, and communities embrace kindness.

Here is a list of suggestions of small acts of kindness we can encourage our children to do through out the school day.

1.  Hold the door open for someone

2.  Compliment a classmate

3.  Smile at 5 individuals in the hall

4.  Share your snack with someone

5.  Let someone go ahead of you in line

6.  Say hello, with a smile, to your teacher

7.  Help clean up in your classroom

8.  Pick up trash on your school playground

9.  Start a recycling program in your classroom

10. Thank your crossing guards with a token gift like a stick of gum or water bottle

11. Include someone new when playing on the playground

12. Thank your bus driver

13. Be a role model to a younger student

14. Write a note of thanks to your teacher

15. Participate in class

16. Be polite and respectful to everyone

17. Use less paper

18. Ask if you can help someone

19. Be on time to all your classes

20. Cheer on your teammates
